Pricing

5,000 monthly reachable devices free per organization, then €9 plus prorated usage.

Pricing is per organization. Add together the Monthly Reachable Devices (MRD) from all its apps, then apply one shared 5,000-device free allowance and one base charge.

All prices below are per organization, in euros, excluding tax.

Monthly price

Organization usageMonthly price
Up to and including 5,000 monthly reachable devicesFree
More than 5,000€9 + €0.0025 per device above 5,000

The variable charge is €2.50 per 1,000 additional devices, prorated per device rather than rounded up to blocks of 1,000. The final monthly total is rounded to the nearest cent, with half cents rounded up.

One allowance and invoice per organization

The billing period is a calendar month in UTC, from the first day at 00:00 until the first day of the next month. The allowance resets each month.

We calculate Monthly Reachable Devices within each app, then add the counts together. The 5,000-device allowance and conditional €9 base charge apply once to this total.

AppsOrganization totalMonthly price excluding tax
2,000 + 3,000 devices5,000Free
4,000 + 4,000 devices8,000€16.50
4,000 + 6,000 devices10,000€21.50
6,000 + 10,000 devices16,000€36.50

The dashboard shows usage by app and the organization's total estimate. Apps do not have separate free allowances or base charges. A person's devices are not merged by external_id, and the same phone qualifying in two apps counts in both.

An import alone does not count. A device qualifies through an accepted live delivery, a live open event, or live SDK registration while opted in and not invalidated. An eligible SDK registration can therefore count even without a notification being sent. Test-mode activity is excluded. The count uses the billing period, not the peak of the rolling 30-day dashboard chart.

Charge breakdown

For an organization with 7,000 MRD in a calendar month, the charges are:

DescriptionAmount
Monthly plan — 5,000 MRD included€9.00
Additional usage — 2,000 MRD × €0.0025€5.00
Total excluding tax€14.00

MRD means Monthly Reachable Devices. The monthly plan charge applies only when the organization exceeds 5,000 MRD. At or below that threshold, the month is free.

Features and sending

SDKs, MCP access, CSV imports, audience targeting, scheduling and delivery traces are included. There is no per-message charge or monthly send quota. Technical rate limits still apply.

Payment activation

You do not need a card to create an account or start using the free allowance. A credit card is required to activate paid usage beyond the free allowance.

Open Billing under your organization in the dashboard to see usage by app, the estimated usage charge, and your invoices. Owners and admins can activate paid billing and open the Stripe portal to manage payment details.

Carillon reports organization usage to Stripe. Stripe generates the monthly invoice and collects payment through Managed Payments. Usage is billed after the calendar month ends; adding your card does not charge that month's usage immediately. The Stripe estimate can lag behind current usage until the next synchronization.

Managed Payments processes the purchase through Link. Applicable taxes are added to the prices above, and payment emails and invoices come from Link.

Grace periods

When an organization exceeds its shared free allowance without paid billing, a seven-day grace period gives you time to activate it. The dashboard shows the deadline, and owners and admins receive an email.

A failed payment has its own seven-day grace period, starting with the first failed payment. Retries do not restart that deadline. A Payment problem banner links to billing so an owner or admin can resolve it.

After the usage deadline, new live sends and resuming live campaigns for all apps in the organization return HTTP 402. The same scope applies after a payment-failure deadline:

Error codeNext step
billing_payment_requiredActivate paid billing for the organization.
billing_payment_failedResolve the outstanding payment in billing.

The dashboard, device registration, traces, and test-mode sends remain accessible. Campaigns already accepted continue running, including their scheduled sends. Replaying an already accepted request with its Idempotency-Key returns its original response. After resolving a 402, use a new Idempotency-Key for the new attempt.

Annual and negotiated contracts

For an annual commitment or negotiated price, contact support. These arrangements are handled with support rather than through self-service activation. Payment details and invoices remain available through Stripe.

For an individually agreed early-access offer, contact support.
